Building Description

This rectangular bridge is built over a small waterway. It is made of stone, with three arches that lead through to the opposite side, and another two that are engraved into the bridge itself. On the bridge is a large structure, with high ceilings all being supported by strong columns. On either end of this part of the bridge, there are arches that allow one to walk into the bridge to the other side. Throughout the bridge there is intricate molding and details engraved into the stone, adding character and stylistic choices. This bridge is a historical and cultural asset as it tells us what style was common during the Georgian period as well as the emphasis on artificial beauty in a natural environment. It uses sight and movement to help it convey meaning.
